Looking for New Guardianship

The Cozmic Café has served its community since 2003, providing Placerville a place to gather, think freely, express creatively, and eat healthily.

Cozmic Café has won numerous annual awards for "Best Vegetarian Restaurant", has been featured in The LA Times, The Sacramento Bee, The Tahoe Tribune and was voted one of the Top 4 on the KCRA's A-List for the Sacramento Area. It can be found in Fodor's Travel Guide in the Northern California section, and in the book, California Healthy.

Cozmic Cafe has become a favorite music venue to well-known musicians, and has offered cultural richness to its foothill community in diverse ways, including a multitude of benefit concerts and hosting the Tibetan Buddhist monks during their annual visit to Placerville for the past 5 years.

Cozmic Cafe most recently played an important role in bringing the local organic farming community together through "Friends of the Coz", a monthly community meeting, joined by others who share a vision of creating a local sustainable community, and as a result of that effort, Cozmic Café is now able to provide customers with local organic farm fresh goods.

After 5 magnificent years of serving the community, the owners of Cozmic Café have decided to offer Cozmic Cafe "FOR SALE". The owners are hoping to attract an interested party who appreciates the value of "the Coz", it's role in the community, and who recognizes its potential. Managing owner, Chris Cole believes that it is at the "tipping point" and is ripe to become something much greater than it is today.

The Cozmic Café sets a standard by exemplifying cooperation and social responsibility in our community and beyond.

It is our intention to provide our customers with delicious wholesome foods and beverages, supporting fair-trade and organic sustainable farming whenever possible.

The Cozmic Café encourages creative expression through art, music, dance, and communication, hosting live music and theater, as well as events, workshops and classes that support community education, holistic health and personal growth."

The Cozmic Café honors the role it plays in the community as an alternative model of business by promoting independence, wellness, and cooperation. The result for the Sierra foothill area is a well-served and strengthened community.
